Capers Split Two-Game Home Series vs Holland College

The Capers opened the weekend in dominant fashion on Friday night, skating to a 4–1 victory in their final regular-season series at the Kehoe Forum. CBU controlled the pace early, generating consistent offensive pressure and capitalizing on their opportunities to build a comfortable lead. A disciplined defensive effort and steady goaltending limited their opponent’s chances, securing the 4–1 win and strong momentum heading into the weekend finale.

Saturday’s rematch proved to be a much tighter contest. The Capers battled throughout the game but ultimately fell just short in a 3–2 decision in overtime. Despite the loss, CBU showed resilience, responding to adversity and keeping the game within reach until the final minutes.

With the split, the Capers close out their regular season and now shift their full attention to hosting the upcoming Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Championships, set for March 6–8 at the Kehoe Forum.

After a season of steady growth and competitive performances, the Capers will look to carry their energy and execution into championship weekend as they prepare to battle for the ACHA crown on home ice.
